Special Annual Meeting & SPEHA Board Meeting, March 11, 2026
Posted on Mar 8th, 2026
A Special Meeting of the Membership will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 6:30 to 6:45 pm. The purpose: At the annual meeting, the election of directors was suspended due to time constraints. At its February 11, 2026, meeting, the Board increased its size to eleven directors. Only 11 candidates are now running for the director position, and further nominations are closed. Thus, candidates can be added to the Board by acclamation without a membership vote, but a quorum of members, in person and/or by proxy, is needed to add directors to the Board.

Additionally, the regularly scheduled Board Meeting will be held, starting at 6:45 pm. See the agenda on the Calendar below.
New 20mph Signs on Local Streets Updated
Posted on Feb 1st, 2026
Update: 20mph signs on local streets citywide.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure began installing new 20mph signs on local streets citywide. By updating these signs and reducing the speed limit on our local streets, we want to draw attention to the broader issue of speed and help create a culture of safety in our neighborhoods, where we are more likely to see people walking and biking.

As part of our strategy moving forward, we plan to reduce the overall number of signs out now, with a focus on areas that enter local streets from our arterial streets. We will also post gateway signs as people enter Denver off the highway, stating the speed limit on local roads is 20 mph.  We anticipate that removing/replacing these signs will take up to 3 years to implement, from the time we begin in full.
